PRENATAL CLASSES
Childbirth classes are good opportunities to learn about what to expect during pregnancy, in childbirth and the early postpartum. These in-person classes are geared towards expectant parents in the second and third trimester of pregnancy and helps to prepare families in Southern Manitoba to be prepared for labour, birth and to help them make a postpartum plan. Babby Penner keeps the childbirth classes small (Maximum of 6 moms and their partners) in order to allow time for questions. To find out more or sign up, visit Babby’s site here.

Miscarriage and Loss

Unfortunately the loss of an unborn baby is more common than it might seem. Although the support groups in Southern Manitoba are few, there are trained counsellors at the Pregnancy Crisis Centres in both Winkler and in Winnipeg waiting to listen and help you. Please see the links below for phone numbers. Also, don't hesitate to contact one of the doulas as we know of individuals who have experienced losses and would be willing to meet, listen and share with you.
